Can other states’ DMV see my tickets from Nevada?

Can other states’ DMV see my tickets from Nevada?

Probably. Nevada is one of 40 states that belong to the “Driver License Compact” and “Nonresident Violator Compact” to share information about drivers and their citations.

California is part of the Driver License Compact that states “Each jurisdiction shall report each conviction of a person from another jurisdiction occurring within its boundaries to the home jurisdiction of the licensee.”

This is why it’s important to take care of any tickets, even if you are just visiting Nevada on vacation when you get it - while it may or may not show up on your state’s DMV system, there is that risk.  Also, an unpaid ticket may cause a bench warrant to be issued, leading to an arrest if you’re stopped again.  Don’t take any chances, if you’ve gotten a ticket call Ticket Ninjas today!

How far back do tickets go before they go
off of the records or do they ever? What about 28 years?
    Thank you.
